My Story

PERSONAL

When I think of the words to put here, I am overwhelmed with the amazing platform Jesus has given me through which I am able to love on others. Taking care of people, capturing the joy in their lives, sharing milestone moments with them... Those are things that I never want to take for granted and experiences for which I am so unbelievably grateful.

I’m Sarah Jansson. Creator, bride, believer and lover of love.

When I think of the words to put here, I am overwhelmed with the amazing platform Jesus has given me through which I am able to love on others. Taking care of people, capturing the joy in their lives, sharing milestone moments with them… Those are things that I never want to take for granted and experiences for which I am so unbelievably grateful.

In addition to photography, one of my favorite things to do is model. I get asked “How did you get into modeling?” all of the time. I love this question because it allows me to paint a picture of God’s mercy in my life… He was beginning to write a story far greater than me walking a runway so long ago, and the correlation between photography and modeling is where Jesus’ elegant planning really shines.

I began photography when I was in seventh grade. I’ll tell anyone the truth- I started taking photos because I had some major self-confidence issues and would rather be behind the lens than in front of one! So for years, I honed the craft of photography. Now I am a self-taught, natural light portrait photographer and I got here all because of my weakness. Jesus used this weakness so that His strength could be made known and His glory revealed.

Somewhere along the way, I became a better version of myself- more confident, more driven and more creative. And started modeling! Now I love that my experience modeling has helped grow the photographer in me in ways that I could have never learned from someone else. It has allowed me to help people I’m shooting feel more at ease, more natural, more confident and more vulnerable… And those are the most beautiful things of all.

Thank you, Jesus, for writing my story far better than I ever could have. Let’s create together!! I can’t wait to see how I can be a part of the story God’s writing for you.
